![]() For 25 bucks, it might be worth a little more experimentation. The coolest place under that fireplace is right behind the louver at the far right or left. As long as your fireplace fan is plugged into a straight 120V outlet and there no speed control up in the wall, you could plug the power adaptor into the outlet underneath and it would work without have to recharge it or relying on battery power. The trick would be hooking it up so it would sync with the fireplace. Your bluetooth idea is probably the best one. I agree that is possible to do it, but there apparently isn't a big enough market to make it commercially viable, since I've seen a number of ideas come and go. It's a random sound generator, not a pre-recorded fire. It's not a cheap speaker that makes it sound like static. FYI, the power that actually turns your fireplace on is generated by the thermopile at the pilot. The crackler still requires 3 AA batteries, but it would work from your wall switch. ![]() If you have a really high efficiency gas fireplace, you might need a heat shield, but that would still work. There are a lot of battery operated remote controls that go down there, too, and they are no less susceptible to heat issues. The pine cone works as an insulator to protect it from the heat, but it doesn't really get that hot down there typically. You can place it behind the fireplace bottom louver. The crackler has two input leads that attach to the two "TH" terminals on the valve so that it works in parallel with the fireplace when your turn the flame on with your wall switch. However, it only sells for $25.įor $100, it should be possible to make something similar but made heat resistant. It sounded amazingly realistic because the sound quality is great and the sound was coming through the louver, but it's plastic and has an internal battery inside so it cannot handle the heat generated by the fire for more than few minutes. The final TV mounting price depends on the TV size, type of mount, and installation complexity. These prices include labor but may or may not include the mount itself. The cost to mount a TV ranges between 156 and 358, or an average cost of 256. I tried putting this Bluetooth shower speaker behind the louver Reviewed by Andy Kilborn, Expert Home Building and Remodeling Contributor. For $100, they should have been able to make a product that's heat resistant enough to be placed behind the bottom louver to hide it and allow it to be powered with the switch used for turning the logs on and off.Īlso, for $100 they should be able to make it with a speaker with quality that sounds more realistic than "static." If not, another $20 in costs for a better speaker would fix that. I don't have a hearth, so I would need to put it on the floor in front of the fireplace which would make it obvious. Maybe there is a different product you were thinking of. I just read the description of that crackler and it says it's battery operated and I don't see any way to connect it to the control valve.

![]() ![]() I used to just pound out the core, then go in and kill the stragglers, and reap the loot. I have to go through the maze of traps and jump scare spawns behind me getting 2 shot killed by shotgun commanders, respawn, repeat. Tedious, because the POIs are now indestructible. But now, It's tedious and doesn't give the rewards it used to. I'd rather be attacking pois, and looting stuff. Have not personally seen the silver that he has said he mined though. I only know they exist because one of my other faction mates has found them and told me he has mined them. ![]() I personally have not seen a single silver deposit. But it is going to take just as long to farm and trade for the materials I need for them as it has taken to get what I have so far. The only thing it needs now is dense asteroid drills. My ship now has one large T3 capacitor, one reactor generator, and 6 Dense ice asteroid lasers. I've found some, but not enough to build the asteroid mining lasers. Hundred + hours looking for stuff that you personally gave me information to help me find. But I have to point out, that I have spent weeks now trying to find all the parts I need to build the new stuff. The parts are also lootable from several POIs and purchasable from a variety of regular traders. Do NOT start with the largest ones and work your way down. The Small and Medium-sized capacitors and chargers do not require any exotic components and using them will get you up to a 60k shield which is 3x larger than your shields in 1.6, and that's including chargers, and excluding a Bastion shield which would be around 120k. That's the endgame, and is entirely optional. Originally posted by Vermillion:"Half the game" doesn't include the Largest shield capacitors and chargers. The server I am on I am seeing players getting frustrated and just leaving. The new shield system already forces players make massive room on ships to have something thats not popped in 1 shot now the resource cost and a quest (albeit just a fetch quest) on top of that is something that I am hearing again and again is just to much. ![]() While i dont particularly agree with the shield changes as they are forcing massive ships to fight NPC's I took it in stride, thinking that we could at least just build the stuff, being locked into playing trader bob for 3-4 pieces of something that you need hundreds of is mindnumbing tediousness and a huge annoyance. So as i said, forcing us to play as trader bob and locking us out of half the game. The fact remains that ultra rare loot was greatly improved with the removal of "junk" items like emergency rations and ammo. Only the T3 need an item that you trade for, not get in ultra rare containers. You unlock shield upgrades in the tech tree and can craft all but the highest tier with regular components. Adding admin cores to POI so you cant even damage them is also extremely frustrating This interation of the game is more frustation and annoyance than anything else. Originally posted by Vyanie:Loot was not improved enough then, with over 600 of the ultra containers looted and a stupid amount of others not a single thing to upgrade my shields. Afterwards, that specific quest giver will always be available for trade.Įach Quest giver can give you three quests, but you only have to finish one to open up trade. You only have to do the quest ONCE for EACH poi quest giver. But it is far better to do the quests, put a waypoint on the POI and come back after they have replenished their stock. These two items can probably be looted from Colonist or Polaris POIs if you are the type to hate these two factions. Sometimes, they will ask for items that are harder to get. It might be to gather 600 Sathium, or a Survey Report from hacking a satellite, or even a bit of Graphite. But the quests can be randomly chosen from a predefined list. Same thing, find the quest giver, do his quest and open up trade to purchase the Heat Exchangers.Īll quest givers will give you a good value for finishing the quest, Usually paying double or more the value of the item you are giving them. Heat exchangers are purchased from Space POI's - The only one I have found is a colonist POI with a strange name, but there may be others. complete their quest and they will open up trade with you. Most of the ad revenue from a streamer’s videos is returned to the streamer. A single tournament can yield hundreds of thousands of dollars in prize money, but almost all of it goes to the players. And while team sponsorships can be lucrative, other revenue streams often have low margins. That’s a key difference with traditional sports, where no one owns the idea of, say, baseball. Teams are also constrained in how they can make their money because they don’t own the intellectual property of the games they compete in-they can’t, for example, sell a special gun in Call of Duty without the consent of the game’s publisher, Activision Blizzard. On top of that, talent is getting considerably more expensive, with players of the up-and-coming game Valorant able to demand as much as $30,000 a month, according to industry insiders. Media rights revenue hasn’t caught up with those viewership numbers, in no small part because of a lack of competition, with Twitch and YouTube still the only platforms all that interested in esports content. Teams face a number of other challenges from all directions. For instance, Overwatch’s viewership numbers are plummeting, just a few years after companies shelled out $20 million for the initial franchise slots in the Overwatch League esports insiders believe they would sell for a fraction of that price now. Teams not only have to pick the right games to compete in but also have to hope those titles stay relevant. Still, that kind of aggregation doesn’t reflect the opportunity in any one esport-a fan of League of Legends doesn’t necessarily care about Call of Duty, the same way an NFL fan doesn’t necessarily watch the NBA. As one point of comparison, this year’s Super Bowl drew an average of 112 million viewers, according to NBCUniversal. ![]() A report last month by gaming data firm Newzoo found that the global esports audience was on track to reach 532 million this year, including 261 million “esports enthusiasts” who watch esports content more than once a month. ![]()

With Martin late to make the switch, Brunson got a comfortable look at a pull-up 3 and put the Knicks up for good: But with the score tied and a little more than four minutes left, Caleb Martin was caught off guard when Hartenstein quickly flipped a screen on Vincent. The Heat’s zone usually started out as a 1-1-3 configuration, so that the back guard (the second ‘1’) could switch an initial ball screen set on the front guard. While screens aren’t the first thing you think about in regard to zone offense, it was a Hartenstein ball screen that freed up Brunson for his second fourth-quarter 3. “I think at the end of the game,” Hartenstein said, “we started to figure it out more, screening angles, flipping the screen.” With Adebayo fouling Isaiah Hartenstein as Brunson rose for his shot, that turned into a critical 4-point play. Hart kicked it to Randle at the top of the floor, Lowry rotated up, and Brunson got a wide-open 3 in the corner: Brunson hit two huge 3s in the fourth quarter and both of them came against the Miami zone.įirst, Hart got to the left baseline, with Kyle Lowry (like Vincent in the man-to-man possession above) guarding two guys on the weak side. They found seams in the zone and got open shots when they quickly moved the ball from one side of the floor to the other. At times, the Knicks tried to force their way into the paint and came up empty.īut ultimately, this was the Knicks’ most efficient offensive game of the playoffs (111 points on 91 possessions). It slowed the pace down (Game 2 was tied for the slowest-paced game of the playoffs) and made this game a bit of a grind. And on Tuesday, they played more zone than they had played through their first six playoff games.įor the most part, it worked. In the regular season, the Heat played more zone than any team in the 19 years of Synergy tracking. And after the Knicks scored 31 points on 23 possessions in those opening 12 minutes, Miami switched to zone and, basically, stayed in it for the rest of the game. That was man-to-man defense, which the Heat played for most of the first quarter. “I love the way was attacking and then reading the game.” “The game will tell you what to do,” Knicks coach Tom Thibodeau said afterward. But he was drawn deeper into the paint when Josh Hart dove to the rim, leaving Barrett wide open on the right wing, where Randle hit him with a sharp skip pass: Gabe Vincent was on the weak side of the floor guarding two Knicks. Two minutes later, Bam Adebayo came quickly with a double-team when Randle posted up Max Strus. The Heat actually doubled Randle on the very first play of the game, but when he got rid of the ball, RJ Barrett missed an open 3. The Heat didn’t seem interested in testing if he could beat guys one-on-one, double-teaming Randle early. The eight assists were tied for the third most that Randle has had this season, and he was a playmaker from the start. Randle finished with 25 points, 11 rebounds and eight assists. Brunson led all scorers with 30 points, shooting 6-for-10 from 3-point range after going 0-for-7 from beyond the arc in Game 1. But both of the Knicks’ stars were in the lineup on Tuesday, and they both played well. ![]() Randle missed Game 1 with the ankle injury he re-aggravated in the first round, while Brunson’s status (ankle soreness) was a little bit of a surprise. Jalen Brunson and Julius Randle were both initially listed as questionable for this game. Here are some notes, numbers and film on what was a very different game than the one that preceded it. But they got what they needed, evening the series with a 111-105 victory at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday. They lost Game 1 at home on Sunday and their opponent – the Miami Heat – was now missing its best player.ĭespite the absence of Jimmy Butler (who sprained his ankle in the fourth quarter of Game 1), it was a bit of a struggle for the Knicks, who trailed by six points with seven minutes left in the fourth quarter. NEW YORK - No non-elimination game is an absolute “must-win” situation, but Game 2 of the Eastern Conference semifinals was about as close as it gets for the New York Knicks.
